Champion Child

Project Champion Child is a CSR Activity. The main objective of this project was to spread awareness among the school students and the teenager about the various social issues of their daily life i.e. child molestation, child abuse and child labour, good touch and bad touch along with First Aid Education and importance of education in their lives.

We covered more than four Schools like in Khobra, Binayak, Massu, and Amrolidhar in Almora. with around 220 Students in total.

Our main focus was on

To Build Self-Esteem

This was done by spending lots of time with them, Listening to them, playing with them, participate in their fantasy games and role play.

Read to them

All children loved hearing good stories. The benefits were obvious – it created a closer bond between parent and child, it improved vocabulary of all the participating children. We also help them to build imagination skills etc… As the child develops reading skills they will learn to become avid readers for life – a wonderful goal! This was really amazing experience.

Encouraged them to develop their own interests

Mission Jagriti included many talks related to sports such as tennis, karate, athletics – or reading, painting, chess etc… We advised them if they detect real talent in any one area, then encouraged them to develop it! Talent in a competitive sport can be nurtured – gently and wisely – thereby increasing the child’s feelings toward success, competition and winning. The child should learn early in life about the competitive spirit, that losing is a natural part of life and should be viewed as a learning experience; encouraging them to try harder next time, to reach for a higher goal.

Created a fun filled “family culture”

We advised their parents also to create a fun filled family culture for the betterment of their kinds. It is necessary to understand the children feeling to make them more efficient and skilled with the feeling of togetherness.

Mission Jagriti also helped them to make them their future goals

Mission Jagriti encouraged the children of the said project to make their goals. We told them about the importance to goals in life. Setting goals helps trigger new behaviours, helps guides your focus and helps you sustain that momentum in life. Goals also help align your focus and promote a sense of self-mastery. In the end, you can’t manage what you don’t measure and you can’t improve upon something that you don’t properly manage.

MJ taught them to have faith and believe in themselves

Mission Jagriti taught them that their success has no limits if they believe in their own abilities, Encouraged them to realise their true potential.

Outcome of the Project

Mission Jagriti organised a number of activities under the project. The special talk were held to educate them on their issues like child abuse and other spheres of their life. Several games were also organised for them to make them joyful and happy in which the parents of the children also showed keen interest. In the end, they thanked us and praised about the whole scenario.
